Traveling to the Middle East
I was having a conversation with some friends about traveling to the Middle East region and whether or not I should go if given the chance to visit. My answer was yes, yes and yes! I’m so ready to go. But for many, as with some of my friends. When we think of the countries in the Middle East, we automatically think violent, War, Death! The possibilities of being kidnap, injured or have some horrific things happen to you or those traveling with you. Putting yourself in harm’s way unnecessarily or playing with fire as they say, is how many people sees it.
But there’s another side of the Middle East Region that are far more different from what we hear and see in the news. There’s a culture, people, history, food, music lifestyle and so much more waiting to be explore. For those who believe in the Bible, it will come to life when you get to visit, see and touch some of those historic things or places that you’ve heard about all your life or read in the Bible.
When I had the chance to be in Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar; I had the opportunity to experience a little bit of Middle East culture and see how a predominantly Muslim country operates. I must tell you it was way more than I expected. Kuwait is one of the riches country in the world. Their malls are amazing and they have some great road. The food is so good. fresh and spikey. Qatar is like a party central. You feel like you’re in Manhattan New York on a weekend night ready to party and explore the city. Abu Dhabi and Dubai is like a fairytale come through. All these magical and amazing buildings in the middle of the desert that you would never expect to see there.
For example, these seven countries are so rich in early civilization history, way of life, religions, and birth of so many things we do today are an example of missed opportunities to explore and see the beginning of time and where we as a people have come from through the years;
1.Egypt; which dates back to the time of the pharaohs with Millennia old monuments that are still along the Nile River; the colossal Pyramids; the Valley of the Kings tombs in Luxor, and The capital Cairo, which is home to the Ottoman landmarks such as the Muhammad Ali Mosque. Currently, there are major Conflict in some areas at the moment since the ousted of their countries leaders and the division of different religious groups.
2.Jordan; home to the famed archaeological site of Petra, the Nabatean capital dating to around 300 B.C.E. , and Jerash is one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman towns in the world. Having some unrest at the moment in some areas.
3.Iraq; home to the oldest civilizations in the world with its capital Baghdad ( known as Babylon the great city). You can still see many of the temples there today in great condition. The moon god temple; UR of the Chaldean where Abraham is from, and the city of Nineveh where Jonah was swallowed up by the big fish and spit out on land. Currently there is a brutal war on the people as the country tries to take a stand against extremist groups. Lot of fighting and killing with the extremes group terrorizing the people. Would not recommend going there at this time.
4.Iran; with one of the world’s oldest civilizations beginning with the formation of the Proto-Elamite and Elamite kingdom in 3200–2800 BC. Also known as Persian. Have a bad hobbit of arresting and charging western tourist with being a spy. Taking a big chance going there.
5.Saudi Arabia; the birthplace of Islam and home to the two most sacred mosques in the Islamic religion, the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca which is the place of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, and Medina’s Masjid an-Nabawi, the burial site of the prophet Muhammad. These two sites are considered to be the two holiest places in Islam. Very strict Islamic rules which are regulated by religious police. Women have no rights and they conduct a lot of executions for crimes.
6.Turkey; Mount Ararat (AÄŸrı Dağı), at 5,165 m is the country’s highest point and legendary landing place of Noah’s Arkand also the area where the Hittites people are believed to be from. Constant conflict in some area.
7.Syria; where agriculture and cattle breeding appeared for the first time in the world. The capital Damascus, is mentioned many times in the Bible. In the middle of all the fighting from other countries that surrounds them, they are dealing with their own conflicts.
This small window of opportunity to visit these areas has left me hungry for more and so looking forward to the day when I can visit other areas just like that and get to explore and experience like I really wanted to.
For many years millions of people have dreamed of traveling to Cuba, but wasn’t able to do that because of relationship with the US and other countries who had embargos on the island. If it can happen in Cuba after many years of embargos and bitter relationship between , I do believe it can happen there. What’s your thoughts on this?

Luminous Lagoon in Trelawny Jamaica
The Luminous Lagoon located in Trelawny, Jamaica is on my number one must see places when I visit Jamaica again. I wanted to witness and experience this for myself on my last visit but time just didnt permit. Seem I just couldnt find myself in the area at night. A friend who was visiting and able to see send me these pictures. The brackish water which is a mixture of salt and river water from the Caribbean Sea and the Martha Brae River creates the perfect evironment for the Algae to thrive because of the mixture of nutrients from red mangrove tress. The algae are not piosonous and sometimes contain high levels of ammonia
River water
Until you get to experience swimming in a crystal clear, cold, fresh river water. you haven't truly had a river experience yet!

Result Kickboxing after long vacation
After eating all that good food in Jamaica, I had to go back to Kickboxing class. First night and my body was in shock and this was just the warm up. No mercy after a long vacation in the sun. The music playlist was 80s music and the song was “what a feeling, keep believing”. But my body was singing. What are you doing? when are you leaving? The instructor served it and so I had to give it all I had. Yes, I was believing. And this Monday night is "bring a friend night". So, if you're in Colorado Spring and up for the challenge come check it out, just let me know by now and Sunday. You'll love it. Great people and amazing full body workout at Results Kickboxing Colorado.
Puerto Rico
Today’s daily escape is from the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. Even though it’s a U.S. territory, it still has its own culture and way of life. I was just talking to someone who is a native and the conversation took me back to my last visit. The food, the people, culture and oh, if you love dancing Salsa, you’re in the right place. I was all over the place in two weeks stopping at Mayaguez, Ponce, Aguadilla, Carolina, Bayamon, San German, Guayanilla, Aguada, Coamo, Quebradillas, Guayama, and the Capital San Juan. Did I have a good time? Yes I did. And will when I return real soon.

Adventure or Comfort Zone?
So many people are dreaming, wishing and hoping to one day travel to that destination they have dreamed about so many years but are reluctant to do so because they are afraid. You have to make a choice. I know which one I'm going to choose, how about you?

Peaceful River
This river at the Mystic Mountain Rainforest in Ocho Rios Jamaica is so peaceful. I could lay down here on the banks and go to sleep all day and it wouldn’t matter because the peace and tranquility that flows calms the nerves and refreshes the soul.

So I decided to go for a early morning workout through the Garden of the gods and it started to rain while you could see it snowing on top of the mountain. As I got closer to the base of the mountain it was a mixture of rain and snow. Ahhh the good life. Colorado. You get to experience all the seasons. Check out this herd of deers I came across. Nice and cool out.
