Today, my family in Jamaica, the people of Moore town in Portland and the Jamaican people bid farewell to my grand uncle Colonel C. L. G. Harris otherwise known as "Teacher Harris" who led the Moore Town Maroons from 1964-1995. He was the first person to introduce me to music by teaching me how to play the piano at 8-9 yrs old. Because of his motion Nanny was recognized as the 7th Jamaican Hero. Go rest high on that mountain for your work here is done.
